Former BRAND NEW SIN Frontman Focus Of Documentary
May 8, 2009A 24-minute documentary film focused on Joe Altier, a musician from Syracuse, New York who use to be lead singer for the band BRAND NEW SIN, can be viewed below. This film highlights several aspects of Joe's life today, from his new ventures in music to his history. While it is not a full disclosure on Joe's life, it is intended to give his fans and friends alike a brief look into Joe's life...behind the keys.
In other news, Altier has teamed up with former BRAND NEW SIN guitarist Brian "Slider" Azzoto in a brand new "heavy" project. Altier says, "We decided it was time to write together again and with the help of our friend John Hanus, our drummer Lewk, and bass player Dave we have begun writing songs!! The project is unnamed at the moment but we are about 7-8 songs deep and will be doing some pre-production on an EP within the next week or so. The goal is to write throughout the summer and to have an EP out in time for our debut show this September!! It is great to be writing with Slider again, and to have the other three involved as well. We have gelled quite nicely and all of us can't wait for hear and see what we are up to."
Also on the Altier front, the singer is working on material for a solo record which he plans on recording this fall in Cleveland with MUSHROOMHEAD drummer Steve "Skinny" Felton producing. The CD will tentatively be released next year under the JUST JOE banner.
